Las Vegas Masters’ Swim Workouts

Dr. Mario Tarquino is an anesthesiologist who currently practices in Las Vegas as a staff physician at University Medical Center. A graduate of Harvard Medical School, Dr. Mario Tarquino also enjoys swimming outside of his professional responsibilities and is involved with Las Vegas Masters swimming.

Las Vegas Masters swimming is an adult swimming organization that consists of a club, team, and training program. The organization, which is located at the Desert Breeze Aquatic Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, consists of a membership base that ranges from former Olympians to beginners to the sport of swimming. In addition, the group trains for SPMS Regional pool championship meets, USMS National pool championship meets, and FINA Masters World championship meets.

Members of Las Vegas Masters have access to several swimming workouts, which are geared to the current competitive swimming season. These include the Short Course Yards season in the spring, the Long Course season in the summer, and the Short Course Meters season in the fall. Swimmers can attend early morning sessions beginning at 5:30 a.m., or midday sessions at 11:30 a.m. In addition, non-members who wish to experience a workout can register for a drop-in session.
